Yes. While we prefer to start 3–4 months early, we offer rapid Settle & Support packages for students already on the ground needing urgent logistical help.
University teams are a general resource for thousands; we are a private, 1-on-1 management team dedicated solely to your child's integration, lifestyle, and success.
Your child has a direct local contact for any challenge, from medical issues to administrative crises, acting as a reliable local safety net while you are abroad.
They'll need a valid visa, a UK bank account, NHS/GP registration, a National Insurance number, accommodation sorted, and local transport set up. Ascendia handles all of this through our Before You Fly package — so nothing gets missed.
Digital banks like Monzo and Revolut allow remote setup with just a passport — no UK address needed upfront. We handle the full process as part of every package.
You need to register with a local GP surgery near your university. It requires your passport, proof of address, and university enrolment confirmation. We complete this registration for you before or shortly after you arrive.
We support students at universities across the UK including Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial College London, LSE, UCL, King's College London, Edinburgh, Manchester, and Bristol — among others.
Both. Typically parents initiate the enquiry and we coordinate with the whole family. Our Mentor & Succeed tier also includes optional monthly parent briefings so you stay informed across time zones.
Full-time students in the UK are exempt from Council Tax, but you must apply for the exemption — it's not automatic. We handle this application as part of every package.
